Kenwood: garden, ca. March/April 1967.

Wot a splendid pic. Just yer average psychedelic family, friend unt felines out for a stroll on a spring afternoon. I'd guess this was taken around the time of the Pepper photo shoot (30th March, 1967), judging by the trousers. (We all know it was the trousers.)

The usual season's gratings to readahs, and, in this instance, a special grating to Mr R.

Kenwood: June 29, 1967.

Is there no end to these June 29, 1967 Kenwood pics? It would seem not. John and Julian, on the diving board. Actually, I think this one may have been on here before, but in appalling quality.

Poole: upgrade and "ting".

Local wizard Derek B has sprinkled his fairydust over the above image, and the results are pretty fantastic; for those who may not know (nor care), the picture originally appeared in Mojo, but was, unfortunately, unevenly spread over two pages, and overlaid with writing and visual garbage... which explains the fact that it is usually seen with only the right hand portion present, as that bit was relatively undespoiled (and also the pretty useless patch-job previously attempted on these pages). But here it now is in pristine hi-res.
He also, for the hell of it, went down to the ferry and got an exact match:

The booth is actually very close to (the former site of) Mimi's house on Panorama Road; in fact, just round the corner:

Muchas gracias Derek.

Poole: Bournemouth ferry - then & now.

"Then" being 1967 era-o'-tache-era, "now" being...now. And it must be said, the fash has gone way downhill since them halcyon days. But there we go.
Having, needs must, said that, the kiosk endures. Expect to see it at Sotheby's in the not too distant future:

Many thanks to Andrew Downing for the contemporary pics, and for his not inconsiderable trouble.

Julian's Room: June, 1967.

4 variations on a theme...the "cuddly" toys aren't, particularly. The first floor during John's time comprised the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk in clothes room, a study, Julian's room (plus, probably, a playroom/nursery) and at least one guest bedroom - known as the "blue room", for obvious reasons. This was the room occupied by Pete Shotton during his lengthy stays at Kenwood. Pete house-sat whilst John and Cynthia were in India in 1968. The bit of Kenwood overlooking the swimming pool remains a mystery...UPDATE - it's the garage. See later drivel for explicatory pap.

Kenwood: June 1967.

I've never seen a complete version of the first pic here - it's usually cropped. I'm also unclear as to which room this is. I would guess somewhere on the first floor - it might be part of Julian's room, given the toys, or I believe he also had a nursery or playroom up there, so maybe this is it.
UPDATE - it's the den, on the ground floor. See later shizzle for the poop.
