ReplyDeleteAhh, pedantry. OK...to spell it out - this one is a first generation copy ie much better quality, and higher resolution than the previous one. You can see much more detail as a result if you download the pic and zoom in. That is the "more" bit. (Sighs deeply.)

ReplyDeleteNo, it is Quarry Bank, very shortly after John et al went in to the first form (1R). Teachers (or "Masters") didn't wear robes at Dovedale, for one thing.
