Madingley Club: 1966, 1969 & 1972.

For anyone interested enough in the Beatles to regularly read this rubbish, the Madingley Club will likely be a familiar name. It was the venue, in April 1969, for one of the final Fabs photo shoots, and produced the famous shot of the four of them lounging insouciantly against John's latest Roller. How far they had come, indeed.
But what did the Madingley Club itself actually look like, you probably haven't wondered. Well, here it is, pictured above in 1966. There's just enough overlap to be able to ascertain that the Roller shots were taken in the carpark to the left of the building. Another photo, this time from 1972, shows a bit of the fence, and one of the buildings on the other side of the Thames also seen in the Beatles image:

The Madingley Club later burned down, and the site is now occupied by housing. (Police were looking to interview four shifty looking scippies* seen at the scene.)
