Back round to the back; the sharpest photo of the Lennon-era sunroom's exterior thus far, and cause enough for a vat or two of wine round these parts. It's remarkable how much new Kenwood material continues to appear, month in, month out, month back in again, and out, and in, and out and in and on and on and on. This is yet another one by Sue Baker. (Several cheers for her.)
Suffice to say, a fair amount of new detail is to be gleaned from this, all of which will be put to good use in the
virtual Kenwood "pwoject".
Was wondering when you would get round to posting this one from Sue's archive, but thought you might have imploded at the excitement of this particular photo. The Kinfauns ones were excellent too. I officially love Sue Baker.
ReplyDeleteYes - in the context of this, it's Christmas. The photo of the sunroom exterior is remarkable for its clarity - almost digital. The seemingly fog-enshrouded fan photos certainly have a period charm all their own, but it's great to see such a clear image, and from an unusual angle, too. It could almost have been taken yesterday.
ReplyDeleteNote, the curtains are all drawn, which would suggest this was taken early morning. I'd love to be able to put a date to it. Best guess would be sometime in 1967, judging by the curtains.
And I realise, having typed that, I do need to get out more.
What an incredible photo!!
ReplyDeleteSue Baker is my hero! Thanks Sue!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and 3D updates on the exterior are underway.
This angle is facing North East so judging by the light blooms in the upper right hand corner I think early morning is correct.
