IT: Apple ad.
A bizarre ad from the pages of IT, June 1968. That looks like John's "handiwerk". With the emphasis on enjoyment, indeed. Thanks to Ian Drummond for sending this in.
Definately looks like a Lennon In His Own Write type of sketch. Very typical of Lennonesque style of doodle.
As far as the IT copy goes, I think your best bet is to try one of the magazine collectable shops or just try ebay? I reckon it's worth about $40 prehaps $50, put a reserve on it.
In the Kenny Everett interview with the Fabs during the White Album recording, he asks John how Apple is going. John replies, "I couldn't ask for any more tapes and bits of paper."!
I own a copy the International Times that John Lennon is reading in the sunroom photograph.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know where the best place to auction this is?
