Frost On Saturday: 24 August, 1968.

For them that have never seen it, John and Yoko on David Frost´s Saturday night show, slap bang in the midst of the White Album sessions. By this point, John and Yoko had moved out of Kenwood, and Cyn, Julian and Cyn´s mother had moved back in. The week before this interview, Ringo had walked out of the Beatles. Two days after it, John would start work on Dear Prudence. A week later, Hey Jude would be released. You get no sense of the contemporary turmoil in the Beatles´ camp here, however. It´s clear John´s focus of attention was now on his projects with Yoko. Having said that, he had obviously got the production team to play Hey Jude over the end credits, and he gamely tries to get the audience to sing along. The quality is pretty bad, but part 3 has another extended excerpt which is much better.
