Kenwood & Montagu Square: summer/autumn 1968.
These pictures tell a tale. By the late summer of 1968, John and Yoko were no longer at Kenwood. Cynthia, her mother Lilian and Julian had moved back in, which is when the first photo here dates from. Paul, famously, drove down to St George's Hill to offer some consolation to Cyn in person, composing Hey Jude on the way. The second photo shows a Paul visit to Kenwood (it was taken by the pool), and possibly shows the actual Hey Jude visit.
John and Yoko, of course, moved to Ringo's flat in Montagu Square, London.(For famous Ethan Russell photos of the two of them there, go HERE). The next photo is of Ringo approaching said flat in 1965. Whilst at Montagu Square, John and Yoko got "done over" by the notorious Sgt Pilcher: a rare pic of that very event next. This prompted them to send Pilcher a presumably sardonic gift - signed copies of the White Album and Two Virgins, illustrated by the final pic here. When John and Cyns' divorce went through, John and Yoko moved back to Kenwood for a short period at the end of the year.
