John Lennon: interview at Kenwood, December 1968.

In December 1968, shortly before John left Kenwood for good, he was interviewed there by 2 students, Maurice Hindel and Daniel Wiles. This is what has so far surfaced of that interview. (There is over 2 hours of this stuff somewhere). I wonder where exactly it took place - probably the sunroom. Whatever - this is yer actual sound of Kenwood! (And as good a soundtrack to these pics as you will find. There was at least one other interview done at Kenwood, with Kenny Everett, conducted on 27 January, 1968. Anyone out there got it?).

  1. I've just listened back to it, and it is a bit weird - it cuts out after 14 minutes or so, and then you get a selection of photos, some of which are Kenwood related. This is entirely down to my ineptitude. I know the main pic is Wapping not Weybridge, but it's so great I couldn't resist. I may try to fix it at some point. But probably not....

  2. My favourite quote from this - "a lot of our fans are fascists". Ahhh, Johnny boy. :)
